Position Overview:

Join a team of highly motivated educators who are helping school and teacher leaders implement personalized learning in their schools and classrooms. Together we foster collaborative relationships and communities of practice among implementing schools. We happily support educators who are passionate about transforming teaching and learning in Rhode Island and across New England. We engage in personalized support and creative problem solving to identify and remove barriers so our educators can successfully implement a model of personalized learning that changes the school experience for their students.

New England Basecamp is seeking to hire experienced educators as Personalized Learning Coaches who will work closely with our partner schools in adopting and institutionalizing Personalized Learning in their districts.

We are seeking applicants who are flexible, action oriented and motivated educators interested in helping us shape the modern educational landscape to meet the needs of all students.   • Assist school and teacher leaders to establish goals to develop and support strategic implementation plans.
  • Assist educators in creating an effective student-centered learning environment by offering targeted feedback, support and professional learning opportunities towards the development of educator’s growth mindset.
  • Meet with school teams to mentor, model, demonstrate, and work through issues relating to implementation.
  • Provide targeted professional learning on the use of student data including identifying trends and gaps in student mastery of content and how to develop targeted plans to address identified trends.
  • Provide classroom visits, walkthroughs, coaching, and feedback to school and teacher leaders so they may best meet the needs of students and teachers.
  • Meet with school leaders regularly to set monthly priorities.
  • Create and sustain positive relationships with teachers, administrators and school support staff.

Job Requirements:

  • Evidence of effective classroom practices, including technology integration
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams of educators
  • Excellent oral, written, human relations and communication skills
  • Receptive to feedback, willing to learn, and embraces continuous improvement
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Able to work independently in a flexible schedule of weekly school-based visits
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills
  • Pass the reference, background/criminal checks, per education code


Minimum five years teaching experience

Master’s or doctoral degree in an education-related field

Experience leading a team, teacher development, coaching, and/or curriculum and instruction

Preferred but not Required:

  • Experience working with ELL students

Salary: Competitive – Based on Experience
